This is a study of Codex Bonifatius I, (Codex Fuldensis, or Victor Codex), made by Ernestus Ranke in 1868, It contains, in place of the four separate Gospels, the Gospel Harmony attributed to Tatian, or Ammonius.
I have been, preparing a two column version of Cod Bon 1, which is the document that Ranke worked from, producing this book. In the process, correcting my copying errors in this document, I have reached a significant point in the work on Cod Bon 1, so have taken time out to update the files here. Other than correcting errors I have found in Ranke, I have made good a blatant omission of his, namely, the page breaks, and page numbers of the original manuscript. I have inserted, though, rather than the page numbers, the image numbers found on the Fulda site, namely:
http://fuldig.hs-fulda.de/viewer/image/PPN325289808/x/
where "x" is the image number, which I have placed in Ranke's line number column, formatted to the 'outer margin of the page, whereas the line number is on the inner margin. Also, in a larger font, and bold.

I have completed the work on Cod Bon 1, to the limits of my skill in Latin. That also means that I have re-proofed Ranke's book. I found typically a couple of typos on most pages, and these have been corrected.
I have, working from the digital manuscript found some errors and omissions in Ranke's work, and amended the re-typeset document accordingly.
The Cod Bon 1 files can be found on this site under the url:
https://archive.org/details/CodBon
A reduced definition scan of the actual manuscript, taken from the Fulda site is included for reference. It is for the most part readable, but some of the editors tiny marks are not discernible in the scan. The best image is available on the Fulda site is still the best source of microscopic detail.
I noticed that some of the formatting of the footnotes was defective. I have spent some time correcting the format, and fixing the one or two typos I found in the process.
Many of the little marks made by editors of Cod Bon 1 were poorly represented by Ranke.
I have gone to pains to use better representations, and also to synchronise them with the symbols I used in Cod Bon 1 (re-typeset, and translated).
Last updated 24 Nov 2015 for minor typos.
The language is Ecclesiastical Latin for the commentaries, and 5th Century Latin for the New Testament texts.
My re-typesetting is limited to the first 502 pages, after which came the commentarii, which I do not include, as they are not best presented in-situ. The Commentarius Diplomaticus is a set of notes indexed to individual pages, and is, in my judgement best presented as footnotes, and so I have thus presented them, adding the introduction to them on the last page of the prologue, which fortunately, had just enough spare space.
